The conventionality control: a new approach in the principles and sources of law

The Courts or Constitutional Tribunals and the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, at present are protagonists in human rights protection through their jurisprudence, by using legal concepts such as judicial review and conventionality control, which despite complementing each other, they incorporate theoretical problems to the sources of law, the classical concept of sovereignty and the principle of constitutional supremacy. Precisely because of this, in this paper is intended to show why it is possible to speak about a constitutional control over a conventionality control, to ultimately refer to the three potential problems of such change.
