摘要
Nosocomial infections. The problem of nosocomial infections is of great current interest despite the prevailing infection protection acts, hygiene guidelines and plans. Recent results in Germany show that postoperative wound infections are the main cause of nosocomial infections even though the hygiene culture in Germany is relatively highly developed. Conclusion. Changes in awareness and a package of measures are the main targets for improvement in hygiene management and the subsequent rate of postoperative infections. The question in the title should therefore be seen only as rhetorical.
