A POSSIBLE SIGNAL OF THE EL-NINO-SOUTHERN OSCILLATION IN TIME-SERIES OF THE DIURNAL TIDE

摘要：
Long time series of diurnal pressure variations, S1(p), at Macao (22-degrees-N,113-degrees-E) and Batavia (now Djakarta: 6-degrees-S, 107-degrees-E) are analysed, and, at both locations, a correlation is found between S1(p) and El Nino-Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Some possible physical explanations for this correlation are given.
