摘要：
The paper describes the results of studies of fronts in the Yellow and East China Seas based on an analysis of satellite IR and optical data. The hydrophysical conditions governing the development of fronts are analysed in relation to the problem of interpretation of satellite data and a general map of the location of frontal zones is constructed. The characteristics of the fronts are described.
