Two types of fluorian-garnet have been found in the granitoids of Santa Calarina. The first one is a titanian hydroandrodile (containing up to 4.6 wt % P which replaces OH) occurring with a while alteration mica. The second is a garnet (Spe39Gro31Alm23And6) containing up to 1.9 wt % P present in the magmatic paragenesis of a molybdenite-bearing leucogranite. In this case a possible mechanism of fluorine incorporation would be: sqare(VI), (Mn2+, Fe2+)VI, 4 P- = 2(Al3+)VI, 4 O2-. Chemical variation in the rim of the second garnet would probably register the effect of demixion of a fluid at the time of the first Mo mineralization stage.
