Sleep and dream

Since the beginning of the 20th century with Freud's dream interpretation scientific estimation of dreaming has been widely divergent, between wish fulfilling and problem solving theory on the one side, and mental excretion theory on the other side. Newer experimental and psychoanalytic research confirm and amplify the comprehensive signification of dreaming and dream for the quality of sleep and daily problem solving.
