摘要：

In the microstructure of chill-cast high-strength iron there has been detected a high-silicon phase - silicocarbide - that is not encountered in the analogous alloys when using the traditional casting techniques. The presence of silicocarbide in actual production castings of products used in oil-industry equipment leads to the need for study of the nature and distribution of this phase and its influence on the properties of the alloy.
