摘要：
The preparation of SiC and Si3N4 from rice hulls is described in a two-stage process, the pirolysis of the raw material at 850-degrees-C and the heat treatment of the resulting char in Ar SiC or nitrogen (Si3N4) in the temperature range 1400-1475-degrees-C. The effect of gas flow, reaction temperature and reaction length on the yield, crystal average size and alpha/beta phase ratio are described.
