摘要
Although there are numerous reports and research works on peace that use statistics, the amount of them is significantly reduced if we look at publications that include inferential statistics. In this article we intend to use it to model the link between different indicators of peace and violence in order to establish conceptual inferences from quantitative data. Based on the results obtained, it can be stated that violence and peace, at least in their quantifiable forms, present little correlation and, therefore, coexist in the same spaces and times, just one of the main characteristics of imperfect peace. On the other hand, the variables of democracy used show very weak correlations with inequality and somewhat higher, albeit moderate, with development, for which reason one of the pillars of liberal peace -the link between democracy and peace- is not sustained.
