摘要
In this paper we rescued the couple conceptual center-periphery to address the geopolitical situation according to the following issues: the economic complexity of the territories and their conditioning to power relations, the question of unipolarity-multipolarity, the historical transition that develops between a unipolar world and a multipolar world and the resulting crisis of hegemony. We concentrate on four areas: a) the struggle in the United States between the neo-conservative strategy and the neo-realistic strategy; b) characterize the main competing power blocs, leading to a scenario of multipolarity relative; c) the place of Latin America, the problem of economic primarization and the search for autonomy; d), by way of conclusion, we refer to the BRICS and geostrategic conflicts that unfold in a crisis of the world order and, as a trend, peaking of global tensions.
