THE 2ND INTERACTION VIRIAL-COEFFICIENT OF GAS-MIXTURES .3. CARBON-DIOXIDE + HYDROGEN MIXTURE

By means of a new genuine equipment based on the principle of volume variation accompanying the gas mixing, the excess volumes were obtained for the H2-CO2 system on a temperature range within 258-308 K and pressures up to 50 atmospheres. The experimental data thus obtained were used to calculate the second viral interaction coefficient (B12). The B12 value was compared with that theoretically calculated using the Lennard-Jones potential and 11 combination mixing rules.
