摘要：
A statistical relation, essential to a mathematical model of the process, is proposed between final metal sulphur content in after-furnace desulphurisation and reagent consumption. It stems from the kinetic law for second order reactions and enables a single parameter to be used in evaluating the effectiveness of any desulphurisation process and the amount of reagent required in any particular case to be predicted.
