摘要：
Plate efficiency and entrainment of liquid were measured by means of a tracer technique in two different columns with and without demisters as de-entrainment device. The de-entrainment efficiency of the demisters (steel and telefon wire mesh) resulted from 75 to 95% and improved the distillation efficiency by 15 to 50%. So wire mesh demisters can be a very economic help for increasing the capacity and/or the separation efficiency of plate columns.
