摘要
The article tells the alternative educational experience of school Santa Librada from the Town 5 of Usme, Bogota, "Relationship city-school-region as a significant element of learning of children and youth". Developed as an institutional commitment to improving the quality of learning, guaranteeing the right to the city and the formation of children and youth as active citizens. The theoretical and methodological constructs that have guided the development of the experience with the institutional pedagogical approach are evident. One of those is "meaning learning", understood as the possibility of establishing own individual relationships between what was learned and what to learn. And the other one is teaching to transform the subjects, their knowledge and their citizenship practices, recognizing the experience of every child and young in various scenarios as a source of knowledge.
