Based on analysis of the motion-body relationship, it is demonstrated the socio-historical influences of sport. The modern sport starts to emerge at the end of the nineteenth century; the structure of modern sport is explained after World War II when the relation State-Sport is established. At the end of the sixties, between the XX and XXI century, the sports globalization is gestated and consolidated through the Atypical Transnational Company of Show and Entertainment (EDTEE). the economics aspects, the role of State and sport as well as the relation between them are identifi, defined and described,. The State functions in the globalization of sport through the foundations of sport public policies are established. Particularly, focusing on the State role about the social protests against sport, it is noted the massive, unusual and unknown protest of the Brazilian population against the Football World Cup Brazil 2014. The main characteristics of the EDTEE are explained immediately (sports inequality, legal chicanery, profit-seeking charity and social welfare) that originates the entitled thought, is it possible another sport? This arises the need to reconsider the objective of sport, with the purpose of starting a debate about overcoming sport and initiate a theoretical and conceptual foundation in the search of a concrete alternative.
