摘要
A design technique for the implementation of high-order infinite impulse response (IIR) delta sigma filters is proposed. A second-order variable IIR Delta Sigma filter is used as a kernel for the cascaded realization of the high-order transfer function. The kernel is realized using simple delta circuits such as the delta-adder and delta-multiplier. The method is explained using a sixth-order bandpass filter and after that is generalized for any 2nth order filter. The IIR filters designed using this method possess interesting characteristics which are useful in processing the high-rate bit stream from delta-sigma coders.
