摘要
Fracture toughness and fatigue crack growth measurements on high performance copper infiltrated plain carbon steels confirm that through the use of different heat treatments it is possible to obtain dynamic mechanical properties equal to those of cast steels and those in the lower range of wrought steels. A correction to Shaler's infiltration index expresses the driving force of infiltration as inversely proportional to pore size.
