摘要
The molecular structure of the copper complex with title ligand has been determined by X-ray diffraction. It shows a slightly distorted tetragonal bipyramidal coordination of the copper ion. The macrocycle is coordinated in a planar configuration and two carboxylic groups are in a trans arrangement. The unusually high activation energy (ca 200 kJ mol-1) was measured for second-order complex formation reactions in aqueous solution.
