摘要
We consider neutron and nuclear gamma-ray generation during the 1982 June 3 event. In our model the secondaries are generated by accelerated ions moving inside a magnetic loop structure in an inhomogeneous solar atmosphere. We take into account the particle scattering on MHD waves generated by exterior sources, as well as by the accelerated protons themselves. It is shown that observational data on high-energy (> 50) MeV neutrons and nuclear gamma rays can be fully explained within the framework of the model, provided the whole lot of particles undergoes acceleration during the impulsive phase of the event. Observational data on high-energy neutrons obtained by means of neutron monitors are also in accordance with the assumption that all the secondary nuclear emission was generated by particles of the same population. The nuclear gamma-ray line emission profile can be explained in terms of protons precipitating away from the arch of length ∼1010(Bc/100 G)(1011 cm-3/nc)1/2 cm; Bc and nc are the magnetic field strength and number density in the arch, respectively.
