摘要:
Against the background of changed basic parameters and new challenges, the German statutory accident insurance (DGUV) has initiated a review of in-and out-patient treatment. The review, which is aimed at strengthening quality-and demand-oriented structures while preserving tried-and-tested principles, is based on the White Paper approved in 2009 setting out the relevant concepts for individual areas. Realignment is required in particular in the area of authorized medical examiners (keyword: new specialist for orthopaedics and trauma surgery) and in-patient treatment, while adjustments to come in line with changes in the regulations governing SHI-accredited physicians, the establishment of a new quality assurance system and strengthening of rehabilitation management are also planned. It is also necessary to establish whether adjustments need to be made in response to reduced demand.
