摘要
Nos estudos da perspectiva historico-cultural desenvolvimento e aprendizagem se relacionam a internalizacAo de signos e a acAo educativa, principalmente escolar. As funcoes mentais evoluem a partir da apropriacAo progressiva dos conceitos cientificos, elaboracAo que acontece interativamente pela construcAo dos significados das palavras em seu uso contextual. Considerando tais pressupostos, o estudo foi realizado com dois alunos do quinto ano do ensino fundamental do sistema de ensino publico brasileiro. Ambos demonstravam grande dificuldade para ler, escrever e compreender conceitos trabalhados em sala de aula. Foram realizados encontros semanais com os meninos em horarios diferentes dos momentos das aulas buscando investigar a relacAo entre o ensino de conceitos escolares trabalhados pela pesquisadora e as possibilidades de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento dos alunos, com o intuito de compreender e apontar caminhos para realizar um trabalho a partir dos conceitos cientificos abordados em sala de aula e favorecer a aquisicAo de conhecimentos dos mesmos.
