摘要
The monitoring of weakly penetrating radiations is a particular task in personnel dosimetry. For assessment of radiation dose from beta rays and low-energy photons to the unprotected skin suitable dosemeter systems were developed. Especially mechanically thin TL detectors, surface sensitive detectors based on the TSEE or the TL technique, multi-element dosemeters and special evaluation regimes for reading of thick detectors are capable of measuring the skin dose with acceptable accuracy. The description of the dosimetric properties of established detector systems and possibilities for improving the different systems are also discussed.
