Determining the Validity and Reliability of Personal Performance Questionnaire in Athletes

Objective: The aim of this research was to determine the validity and reliability of personal performance questionnaire in athletes. Methodology: The methodology has been from descriptive type which has been enforced in the grounded form. The statistical population of this research has been formed from the athletes of different sport courses in Iran that 413 questionnaires were collected from them. To collect the data, the personal performance questionnaire made by Koopmans (2014) that has included 27 questions, task performance, contextual performance and counterproductive behavior, was used. The methodology has been from descriptive type which has been enforced in the grounded form. The validity of questionnaire was gained by using the opinions of sport management professors. In order to analyze the data, determine the reliability and validity of structure, in order, descriptive indexes, statistical tests of Cronbach's Alpha coefficient and confirmatory factor analysis were used. Findings: The results show that the reliability of personal performance questionnaire is 0.89. About the validity of the structure and according to the amount of relations and T-value, all questions had significant relationship with the elements and could be a good predictor for their element. The indexes of the ratio of X-2 to df (3.16), RMSEA=0.092 and also NNFI=0.91, CFI=0.91 and GFI=0.93 confirmed the model fitness. Also, about the relations of factors with the concept of personal performance, the results showed that all factors could be a good predictor for the concept of personal performance. Conclusion: The personal performance questionnaire is a reliable and valid scale which can be used for evaluation of personal performance in the sport domain and the reliable and stable results can be also gained.
