摘要：

This paper analyzes development of the economic crisis in the capitalist world since 2008. It discusses the reasons why this crisis is one of the most profound and decisive that capitalism has experienced, referring to well- known economists worldwide. It also discusses the effects of the crisis on the United States and the progressive decline of its global influence. Finally, it expounds possible trends prevailing in the immediate future, emphasizing the need for nation states and oppressed peoples to act in a sovereign manner, disengaging them-selves from dependence on Western capitalism and promoting an alternative economic model.
