RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERCEPTUAL STRATEGIES AND RESPONSE ADEQUACY IN SPORT SITUATIONS

摘要：
The article summarizes experiments concerning the visual strategies of expert and novice athletes. It addresses five main characteristics of the human <<software>> liable to influence performance: (a) the organization of visual search patterns, (h) the speed, adequacy and accuracy of complex decision processes, (c) the quality of perceptual anticipation, (d) the ability to use peripheral information, and (e) the cost of decision making operations. Results are discussed in an information processing framework.
