Since the 1960s, when there was a recognition of the linguistic status of Sign Languages, many works in different research areas have been done in order to provide a better description of these languages. Considering the studies on Formal Linguistics, there has been produced a considerable amount of research on phonology, morphology and syntax; not only about ASL (American Sign Language), but also about many different sign languages around the globe. Thus, this article aims at discussing the manifestation of an agreement in Sign Languages, which is certainly an important agenda within the morphosyntactic studies of these languages. In this sense, it is presented the mechanism of the establishment of pronominal referents in space, such as the morphological realization of the agreement in Sign Languages. Then, we discuss the theoretical status of agreement in these languages; and, finally, we present a proposal to integrate the spatial information and the linguistic system.
