摘要:
This research is based on a corpus from Diccionario de chilenismos y de otras voces y locuciones viciosas, published by priest Manuel Antonio Roman between 1901 and 1918. The focus is on general morphological information in this kind of dictionaries through the analysis of two affixes. By critical analysis of the selected lexical items, we intend to determine whether the information provided is a real contribution to the lexicography of the time or the mere paraphrasing of descriptions already published. We also analyze whether this constitutes a perlocutionary act and if it meets Habermas's validity claims as required for the kind of linguistic product a dictionary is.
