摘要
The article considers peculiarities of the transition to an innovation economy and the role of human capital in this process. The author points out that developed countries feature high level of human development and significant contribution of scientific and technical spheres into the country's economy. For the countries - members of the EurAsian Economic Community (EurAsEC) the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus and the formation process of the Single Economic Space open up a broad spectrum of opportunities to build knowledge- intensive and competitive economy. In their turn, technological modernization and adequate measures to increase human capital will have profound impact on getting economic benefits from innovative cooperation within the Customs Union and Single Economic Space.
