Modern aspects of collecting environmental tax in the context of the peculiarities of the national economy. Overview strengths and weaknesses in the current mechanism for collecting environmental tax. The identified factors in the generalized sense environmental tax to the state, society, environment and economic entities. Proposed to develop the essence of the concept of environmental tax based on its comprehensive nature.
