The agriculture for a development through the use of the technologies of the information and the communications

Agriculture is one of the sectors in which Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are making their way as horizontal impact technologies. The challenge of inserting technologies in agriculture is a complex problem, the same at first sight is considered promising for developing countries and has potential for technological development in the agricultural and agroindustrial sectors; for this reason, the objective of this paper is to establish a diagnosis of the current situation for the incorporation of ICTs in agriculture in the countries of Latin America, considering the relationships between private actors, regulatory and promotion institutions, and educational spaces and of Innovation and Development (R & D).
