摘要
The purpose of this project was to determine baccalaureate nursing students' perceptions of a multiple-patient simulation experience. Three patient scenarios, presenting typical illnesses addressed on a medical-surgical floor (diabetic ketoacidosis, postoperative partial gastrectomy, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) were developed. Fifty-two students participated and completed a pretest and posttest questionnaire. Results demonstrated that students experienced increased positive attitude, motivation, and knowledge of the content involved in the scenarios. Student feedback was overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic; they stated that the simulation experience was beneficial to their learning and helped with critical thinking.
