YTTRIUM(III) COMPLEXES OF PENTADENTATE SCHIFF-BASE MACROCYCLIC LIGANDS WITH N3O2 AND N-5 SET OF DONOR ATOMS

摘要：

The template reactions of 2,6-diacetylpyridine with 3,6-dioxaoctane-1,8-diamine or 3,7-diazanonane-1,9-diamine in the presence of yttrium(III) chloride and perchlorate produce the 15-membered N3O2 and 16-membered N-5 macrocyclic complexes as a result of [1+1] Schiff base cyclocondensation. They are formulated as [YL(1)(H2O)(2)]Cl-3 . H2O and [YL(2)(H2O)(2)](ClO4)(3) . 2H(2)O, where L(1) is Me(2)pyo[15]trieneN(3)O(2) and L(2) is Me(2)pyo [16]trieneN(5) on the basis of IR, UV-vis, H-1 NMR and MS data, and elemental and thermogravimetric analyses.
