摘要
Solid solutions Zn(x)Mg(1-x)B4O7 were obtained by a solid state reaction between B(OH)3, ZnO and Mg(OH)2 in appropriate molar ratios under static initial vacuum of 10(-4)- 10(-5) Hg mm in mild conditions of temperature (523-623 K). This method of synthesis has been applied successfully by us to the isolation of related metallic borates. The characterization of these materials has been carried out by X- ray powder and electron diffractions giving orthorhombic symmetry (S.G. Pbca, No. 61). The unit cell parameters change linearly with composition.
