This is a critical review of John Hick's book The metaphor of red God (2000). Hick reviews Christological axioms, attempting to reinterpret them so as to render them significant to the dialogue between religions. He proposes a pluralist Christology, deconstructing traditional premises and investing Jesus' event with new meanings. With basis on a new Christology, he offers a soteriology that transcends Christ's event.
