摘要：
In this paper, a general framework for determining the optimal operation of a manufacturing business enterprise is presented. It is then used to show that various techniques for computer aided manufacturing, and typical organizational structures represent different, incomplete solutions for computer integrated manufacturing. Gaps exist which could be filled by modified organizational structures, or by the development of new techniques.
