摘要:
Two years after the political-institutional coup that led to President Dilma Rousseff's (2010-2016) impeachment, Brazil suffers from social setbacks such as the reduction of labor rights and public services. In this context, Michel Temer's government increased investment in advertising in the hegemonic media, facilitated the process for renewal of television license concessions and, in an attempt to avoid dissonant voices, is making the Empresa Brasil de Comunicacao (EBC) precarious. Based on documentary research, this article brings a reflection on the dismantling of the Brazilian public communication through the extinction of the mechanism of social participation and significant cuts in budget.
