摘要
A process is described for manufacturing microchannel plates that are stable with regard to thermal degassing in the temperature interval 450-500-degrees-C. The plates are characterized by high stability and constancy of the thermal expansion coefficient under repeated heating, by an absence of relaxation shrinkage with repeated heating, and by a very low gas content (they contain hardly any hydrogen). It is shown that thermal stability to 550-degrees-C can be achieved.
