CONTROL COMPUTER FOR DETERMINING MOST ECONOMICAL OPERATING MODE OF RANGE POWER-PLANTS

Due to the complexity of range power plants, the form adopted mainly for industrial power plants, it is impossible, even for trained operating personnel, to always find the most economical mode of operation. It seems obvious, therefore, to assign this task to a process computer. An optimization process proved in practice which lowers the cost of primary energy in range power plants is described. A practical example demonstrates the possible savings.
