A detailed mathematical derivation is given of the rate of diffusiophoresis of a moderately large, nonvolatile, spherical aerosol particle in a binary gas mixture. All the effects, both linear with respect to the Knudsen number and the temperature jump in the Knudsen layer, are included for the case of boundary conditions. Graphs are presented of the dependence of the dimensionless quantity U-D/D-12(del C-le)(infinity) on the Knudsen number for binary gas mixtures N-2-H-2, N-2-O-2, N-2-Ar, N-2-CO2, N-2-C2H2.
