摘要
Introduction: Football has a high incidence of injury because it is a sport characterized by intense physical contact, complex movements and demanding high aerobic capacity in training and games of its practitioners. Objective: To describe the incidence of musculoskeletal morbidities reported in amateur soccer players during the Municipal Soccer Championship of Piracanjuba 2016. Methods: This is a longitudinal and descriptive epidemiological study in which 84 amateur soccer players participated in this championship. To identify the musculoskeletal disorders that occurred, the Reference Morbidity Survey (RMS) was used with adaptations for this modality. The present study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Pontifical Catholic University of Goias. The significance level of 5% (p <= 0.05) was adopted. Results: We observed that the incidence of musculoskeletal injuries in the participating athletes was low, being the most mentioned, muscle stretching. The most commonly affected anatomical segments were the thigh, knee and leg (lower members), especially during the sprint movement. In relation to the position in the field, we verified that attackers and the side players ones presented more lesions. There was no correlation between age and BMI (body mass index) with the presence of lesions. Conclusion: From these results, the importance of physical conditioning programs and regular training, as a form of prevention of the musculoskeletal disorders characteristic of soccer, is indicated.
