摘要
Recently Heritage Education has taken place at the State Institute of Historical and Artistic Heritage of Minas Gerais - IEPHA/MG. Some actions have been taken to involve communities since the 1980s, but they have never followed continuously and systematically. The first actions aimed at effective community participation. Then, there was the need for a better theoretical basis. Through the partnership between the State Secretary of Education and the Joao Pinheiro Foundation, a new methodology of educational and cultural action was discussed. But it was the creation of the Cultural ICMS that provided further expansion of the concept "education through memory" for many municipalities in the state.
