摘要
As the interest to practical applications of expert systems increases, the necessity of formulating a well defined approach to their development becomes indisputable. In this paper we present a methodology whose aim is to establish the suitability of the expert systems to provide effective and efficient solution to a certain problem. The methodology is based on the top-down approach and constrains the developer to perform certain activities in a prefixed order. During the various steps of the methodology, a set of forms is produced, in order to allow both the gathering of the information and construction 'by the way' of the final evaluation. Experimental results in applying the methodology to a real world case study are also reported. © 1990.
