摘要
In this paper, a nonlinear bending and buckling analyses of polar orthotropic shells of revolution are investigated by means of a semi-analytical method developed by Ye [Appl. Math. Mech. 9, 153-159 (1988)]. Using Green's function method, the nonlinear differential equations are converted into a set of integral equations. The advantage of the proposed technique over existing methods is that the resulting solutions are expressable in analytical forms, thereby making it very convenient to simulate various loading situations. To demonstrate the procedure, several examples involving the nonlinear static response of orthotropic shallow shells are solved.
