Discourse markers and final position: the way huh? in the Spanish colloquial conversation

This paper will attempt to describe the pragmatic functions of discourse markers beginning from a purely discursive criterion: position in the units of talk, which we have named discursive position. Specifically, we concentrate on the final position of some discourse markers in the colloquial Spanish conversation. Thus, we will analyse the marker (SIC)eh?, because its frequency is higher than others like (SIC)no?, (SIC)sabes?, that also take place in final position. Definitively, we aim to demonstrate the applicability and profitability of the discursive position' criterion in the study of discourse markers in the conversation.
