摘要
Educational organizations are characterized by a high percentage of female teachers. Statistical data show that in spite of the high proportion of female teachers, there is a male dominance in managerial positions. Management is one of the key factors in the quality of the education system. This research presents a thorough study of cultures and sub-cultures of the educational centres (presumptions, attitudes, beliefs, ways of doing, values, etc) with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of how women understand the managerial function and the motivations and obstacles that women face and which prevent them from reaching higher positions of responsibility and power.
