摘要
By using the transfer-matrix method, we have studied the interface plasmon modes of an infinite-layered two-dimensional electron-gas system, in which all the layers are arranged periodically except for one region of quasi-periodic layers mapping the rule of the Fibonacci sequence. It has been found that with the removal of translational symmetry, the spectrum of localized interface plasmon modes, both acoustic-like and optic-like, becomes very rich. The dispersion relation of the interface plasmons is presented in terms of the transfer-matrix elements, and a couple of critical wavevectors is also found.
