摘要
Cain and Price (1986) developed a new formulation of the problem of mixture design which maximized the probability that a test response exceeded a threshold value subject to a cost constraint in a normal linear regression model. A method is presented here which develops binary response models for such situations and which allows a simple procedure for maximizing the probability of exceeding threshold values in several tests simultaneously. The methods are illustrated for an oil-blending problem in lubricant design.
