Third-instar larvae of two species of Omorgus (persuberosus Vaurie and an unidentified species) from South America are described. This brings to four (three Omorgus and one Polynoncus) the number known from the continent. A key to larvae of the three genera found on the continent, Trox Fabricius, Omorgus Erichson and Polynoncus Burmeister, and diagnoses of the genera, are provided.
