Four species of the Januinae subfamily were recorded for the USSR sea fauna, i.e. N. brasiliensis (a new species for the USSR fauna), N. pseudocorrugata and J. pagenstecheri (new species for the fauna of the Far-eastern seas of the USSR), and N. alveolata. N. nipponica is reduced to a synonym of N. alveolata. The author analyzes the data on the subfamily representatives available in the Soviet literature. The results are given of the revision of the samples preserved.
