摘要：

The aim of the article is to investigate history as being (the living activity of people). As a product of rational beings, it can be conceived as predominantly rational inquiry. However, a statement of this kind does not match the actual development of historical process. In this context, the article explores, in particular, the relation between the rational and irrational in history', by revealing the sources of irrationality.
